Featuring our new Concertmaster, Joan Blackman, this concert ignites in a blaze of colour with Music for a Celebration, a burst of rhythm and light that sets the evening in motion. Brahms follows with a feat of imagination, forging an entire work from a single Haydn theme. The night culminates in Rimsky-Korsakov’s beloved Scheherazade, inspired by the Arabic folktales of One Thousand and One Nights.
