What place were you born and where do you live now?
AC I was born near Manchester, UK, and I now live in Ladysmith, BC.
What is your favourite era/genre of music to perform?
AC I like having a variety of genres to perform.
Who are your musical influences and what do you love about their music?
AC Bach, for his wide variety of styles, Mozart for his ability to mix extremes of emotions and his sense of humour.
Your favourite food (only one!)
AC I like many different foods.
Your most memorable performance? Where were you and who were you performing with and why was it memorable?
AC In Skopje, Macedonia, in January, 2000, their first B Minor Mass by Bach in 45 years – an incredible atmosphere with the audience spilling onto the fire exits, with a German choir and orchestra.
Something unique or unusual about you.
AC I like to make brass instruments in my shop.
How long have you been a member of the VIS?
AC I’ve been performing with the VIS for 13 years.
What are you most looking forward to about performing with VIS this year?
AC Playing great music with great musicians.
