Each season, the Vancouver Island Symphony is inspired by the heartfelt belief that the unifying power of great music brings our community closer together. Embarking on the 2026-2027 season, we are excited to continue this cherished tradition, presenting moments of beauty, exploration, joy, and connection that resonate in our hearts long after the final note.

These moments are made possible by YOU – our beloved audience! Your unwavering support, alongside the dedication of our incredible musicians, truly makes this your Vancouver Island Symphony.

We are thrilled to share that this season’s concerts and guest artists have been thoughtfully chosen by the VIS Artistic Committee. We welcome new conductors Daniel Bartholomew-Poysner, Herb Smith, Dina Gilbert and Andrew Crust, alongside the return of Jonathan Girard, Nadège Foofat, and Scott MacInnes, each bringing their unique energy and passion.

The 32nd Season features musical masterpieces by Rimsky-Korsakov, Brahms,
Shostakovich, Barber, Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky, Sibelius and Beethoven, alongside contemporary works reflecting our commitment to showcasing living composers.
