Newly appointed, Principal Viola, Sevilya Hendrickx, may call Vancouver Island home, but her musical career navigated her through 4 countries, including Uzbekistan, Russia and Holland, reconciling their conflicting musical traditions. Originally a violinist, she now channels her artistry through the rich, expressive voice of the viola. Her enchanting and inviting presentation will tell us why.
