Classical music is a living art form that connects today’s composers, players and audiences to a centuries-old tradition. VIS New Music Manager and principal flutist Paolo Bortolussi along with VIS trumpeter and featured soloist Mark D’Angelo will discuss how the VIS play an important role in Canadian new music, while looking at the challenges and delights of preparing and performing Vivian Fung’s concerto for trumpet and orchestra.
