Do you LOVE this Symphony?

We Need Your Support to Keep this Symphony Playing!

30K MATCHING CAMPAIGN – Limited Time Opportunity!
Campaign Gift Deadline: December 31, 2024

“The VIS has given us such joy.  With bigger orchestras, like LA and San Francisco and even Vancouver, you never get that connection that we feel with the musicians and maestro of the VIS.” – Joyce Clarke

We are thrilled to announce that VIS supporter Joyce Clarke has pledged $30,000 in matching funds in honour of the Symphony 30th Season. This means she will match each new donation garnered between Sep 1 and December 31, 2024. Giving during our Matching Fund Campaign is a great way to empower yourself, multiply your donation, and bolster your impact.

Help us make the most of this pledge! We don’t want a single dollar to go unmatched! All new donations to any program, including new monthly gifts, will count towards the Matching Fund campaign.  Already a monthly donor? Increases in monthly gifts will also count towards the Matching Fund Campaign.

Your 30th Anniversary Gift

Did you know it costs about $60,000 to put on an orchestral concert? Ticket sales only cover a 1/3 of the expenses.

There are so many unglamorous costs like security, pension plans and sheet music. However, without these vital pieces you would not experience the thrill of 40 musicians performing live onstage. Your annual symphony donation is vital to producing powerful, moving and exceptional live music experiences in our community. In celebration of our 30 th year milestone, we hope you will choose to donate and Keep Music Live! in our community.

Donors enjoy some great benefits and opportunities. [See Sidebar “Circle Levels”]

BANG FOR YOUR BUCKS
Percussion Capital Campaign

Did you know that percussion musicians don’t necessarily own their own drums?

Unlike a flutist who performs with their own flute, percussionists cannot travel with all the instruments required to play a piece of music – that could be over 20 different instruments! It’s therefore up to the orchestra to provide them. For 30 years, the VIS has rented and carted dozens of percussion instruments for each concert at a cost of $5,000 each season.  With eyes on the long-term financial benefits, we have a goal to purchase 2 Bass Drums & stands, a Xylophone, a Marimba, Cymbals, Tubular Bells, Gongs, a Glockenspiel, an electric Keyboard and Chimes.  Help us purchase these integral instruments, the heartbeat of the orchestra. We want a percussion section of instruments to be proud of!

All supporters will be invited to a Percussion Party. Make an impact that everyone will feel at every concert.
